During an evaluation last week, a seasoned Toastmaster in our club said something which really caused a light bulb to go off in my head. I don't remember his exact words but they were something to this effect:
"When you are nervous as a speaker, your audience is nervous and uncomfortable. If you are relaxed when speaking, your audience will be relaxed."
This is so true and requires no explanation. I had never consciously understood this before and wanted to share this.
