TCM In The Treatment of Migraines

I have been a patient at a physiotherapy and acupuncture clinic for over two years. I turned to the clinic's resident acupuncturist after suffering from incapacitating migraines for over five years. Before I found my way to the clinic, I had been to numerous specialists, all of whom concluded there was nothing wrong with me, and whom advised me to reduce the stress in my life. As we all know, eliminating stress is virtually impossible! With a lack of other options, my family physician at the time prescribed two different medications. Neither of these were effective, and in fact, one of them made me so ill, I ended up in the emergency room. At my worst point, I was suffering from a headache at least five days a week, and at least one of these was a severe migraine. I was unaware of any other treatment options, so I ended up taking frequent doses of Tylenol #3, which is hard on your system.

Traditional Chinese Medicine was eventually brought to my attention through a family member. Since I had nothing left to lose, I headed to a nearby clinic who had a TCM practitioner on staff. Looking back, I wish I had known about it earlier because it has completely changed my life!

My acupuncturist set me up on a program including acupuncture and chinese herbs, and worked with me to devise a nutritional plan that helped maximize the efficacy of the treatment plan. Not only have my migraines and headaches been eradicated, but my overall health has improved.

Do you suffer from Gout? Acupuncture can help!

As the Vice-President of a large international corporation, my time is incredibly valuable. Over the past twenty years, I have missed countless workdays due to the pain and debilitating effects associated with Gout. Gout is a painful form of arthritis, which affects the joints. It generally affects more men than women. Attacks of Gout can be incredibly painful, sometimes requiring the the individual who suffers with it, to spend days resting the affected joint(s).

After exhausting all traditional methods of treating Gout (ie. medication, nutritional plans), I sought the help of an acupuncturist, in an effort to prevent any more precious time to be wasted suffering. The TCM practitioner did a thorough examination. If you have never had TCM exam, it generally involves checking the patients tongue, eyes, pulse, as well as taking a detailed medical history. I was put on a program involving Chinese herbs and acupuncture. Within two to three sessions, I noticed a significant improvement. I have been pursuing acupuncture for two years now. Not only have the number of Gout attacks I have decreased, but the attacks I have had, are less severe.

Acupuncture has changed my life! Not only has traditional chinese medicine improved my work life, but it has also improved my personal life. If you suffer from Gout, or you know someone who does, I urge you to consider acupuncture!

Traditional Chinese Medicine and Infertility

As the co-owner of a multi-disciplinary clinic, I can attest to the effectiveness of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of infertility. Our TCM practitioner has treated at least 5 couples in the last two years with incredibly amazing results. These couples had spent thousands of dollars going to doctors for a variety of modern day medicine treatments but had no luck. They finally turned to alternative medicine and thought that they at least had nothing to lose. Within a month of treatment, BINGO, they reported a pregnancy. They went on to have incredibly healthy and normal kids and all thanks to giving alternative medicine a shot.

Life is too short to keep your mind closed – if you want children and you are having difficulties, consider Traditional Chinese Medicine. It may change your entire life for the better!
