Low Carbs and Losing Weight

I would like to share with you some incredible positive changes I once experienced simply due to changing a few minor things about my diet. It was a couple of years after the Atkins diet had gained a lot of popularity that I finally thought I’d look into this type of diet. I learned that it was about not eating carbs and saw that it was quite strict as an overall diet. Knowing that I generally do not have the patience or discipline to follow a diet perfectly and realizing that many diets are a little too extreme, I thought that I would try my own modified version of a low carb diet.

What I did was eliminate every type of carb from dinnertime onwards on a daily basis. It was a little difficult for the first month due to my strong cravings but soon enough I found that I didn’t need the piece of bread with my dinner or the pasta or rice portion of a typical dinner that I used to have. Within four weeks, I had lost 12 pounds and started getting compliments on a regular basis. I felt more energetic and more confident and was able to start enjoying exercise more. This was just a few small changes to my diet but made a huge difference in my life. I would suggest to anyone to give the low carb diet a try, even if it is a modified type of diet. You'll be sorry you hadn't tried this earlier.
